(Waste) Workshop
at Marks Gymnasium
In connection with Marks Gymnasium's technique students having a course about product management and waste, I was invited to talk about the recent work with the project Mind the Dot. The focus of this day was to provide the students with an example of a contemporary project and how to work intersecting with design and circular economy. The workshop that followed ("Material Lab") was furthermore an encouragement to the students to work hands-on with (waste) material in a creative and innovative way, with guidance from me as a facilitator.

As the technique student's course was about product development I costumed the workshop to encourage interaction with the material, to enable a new perspective and relationship to it. "What qualities does the material hold?" They were also challenged to think artistically: "What was your inspiration?" and, "Name your creation" from which they came up with names as: "Zebra wave", "Waste tower" and "Waste flower" and we wrapped up the day with a short vernissage.
This lecture/workshop was held in English on request.
