About

Mathilda Dahlquist

Graduate from the Master's program in Fine Arts, HDK in Gothenburg, Mathilda is a designer with a focus on the future.

"I am searching to rephrase and rethink what it means to be a designer. With a background in Sustainable Design, graduated from the BA program Design + Change, Linnéuniversitet (2019), I am concerned with local and global issues of our time and investigate how design can act as a catalyst in order to achieve a positive change."

Her work deals with questions surrounding unsustainable practices, norms, and mindsets where the explorations of the relationships/separation between humans and nature are recurrent. How to use design to contribute to a better world?

Mathilda qu design engages with conceptual and critical design, sustainability, and design thinking in general. As evident in Mathilda's work, she likes to shift her role between being a design researcher, a curator, a facilitator and a "formgivare".
